Siding · O'Fallon & St. Charles County

Siding that keeps the weather outside.

New siding changes how your house looks, but what goes on underneath decides how long the walls stay dry. We take care of both.

Siding Installation

Siding is the raincoat on your house, and in St. Charles County it takes a beating. Hail cracks vinyl. Humid summers and freeze-thaw winters push moisture into seams, corners and window trim. By the time a wall looks bad from the street, there's often rot underneath: soft sheathing, a crumbling rim joist, or a window that has been leaking into the framing for years.

That's why we don't hang new panels over whatever is there. As the old siding comes off, Shane inspects the sheathing and framing. Rotted boards get replaced, damaged framing gets repaired, and the wall is wrapped and flashed before new siding goes up. If the job turns out bigger than expected, you hear it from Shane first, with a plain explanation of why.

We install siding on whole houses, single walls, additions, garages and sheds, along with the trim, soffit and fascia that tie it together. We also take on exterior structural repairs where water has damaged the framing behind the siding. The goal is a house that looks sharp from the curb and stays tight through every season Missouri throws at it.

What's included

Every part of the job, handled.

Siding Installation project detail
  1. 01

    Full siding replacement

Old siding removed, walls inspected and repaired, then house wrap, flashing and new siding installed so the entire wall sheds water properly.

  2. 02

    Sheathing and framing repair

Soft sheathing, rotted studs and damaged rim joists replaced before new siding goes on, so you aren't paying to cover a problem that keeps growing.

  3. 03

    Window and door flashing

Windows and doors flashed and trimmed so water runs past them instead of into the wall, which is where a lot of hidden rot begins.

  4. 04

    Trim, soffit and fascia

Corner boards, window trim, soffit and fascia replaced or wrapped, giving the house clean lines and closing gaps where water and pests get in.

  5. 05

    Storm damage repair

Hail-cracked or wind-torn sections replaced with the closest available match to your existing siding when a full replacement isn't needed.

  6. 06

    Garages and outbuildings

Siding for detached garages, sheds and additions, matched to the house so every building on the property looks like it belongs together.

Shane is the most professional contractor I have ever interacted with for a job. From the first time calling him to the time he left my property he was 100% sincere with everything he did. We requested to put on a new roof on a shed and fix a rotted floor. He recommended putting some extra TLC into the shed including siding and some other work. We didn't think it was possible due to the age of the shed. When he hit some roadblocks with extra issues dealing with the project, he kept his cool. He even worked in a non-shaded area, with a heat index over 110 degrees with no breaks. His employee had the same mentality and I could see his dedication as well. He was younger in age, but Shane educated him along the way. I could tell he was helping to shape the next generation of contractors. Shane was trying to put the love of the work back into the job rather than just completing the work. He told us the new problems we didn't know about and quickly addressed them. He didn't get upset by me asking questions and even gave detailed answers to my questions. If you want a person who shows the ability and love of his work, hire this company. I felt as if I hired a family member even though we never met before since he truly took ownership of his work. His prices are beyond reasonable and he doesn't charge for an extra screw or a random material other contractors charge customers. He is truly the old fashion worker your grandparents tell you about from back in the day. When I discussed future jobs with him he gladly said he would handle it. No job is too big or small for Shane. If someone would ask if I would hire him back, I would say 100%. He even warranties his work for years and you can't beat it.

FAQ

Siding Installation:
common questions

Still wondering about something? Call or text Shane at (636) 306-0393.

What siding materials do you install?

We work with the siding types common on homes around St. Charles County, such as vinyl and fiber cement, along with the trim and soffit that go with them. Each has tradeoffs in maintenance, appearance and how it handles hail. Shane will walk you through the options and help you choose what fits your house and your budget.

What happens if you find rot under my old siding?

We stop and show you. Shane will explain what's damaged, why it happened, and what it takes to fix it right. Most of the time that means replacing sheathing or a section of framing before the new siding goes up. You won't get nickel-and-dimed over every screw, just an honest conversation about a real problem.

Can you replace siding on just one side of the house?

Yes. Storm damage often hits one or two sides harder than the rest. We'll find the closest match available, though older siding fades and colors get discontinued, so it may not be identical. If a patch would stand out, Shane will say so and talk through options like replacing a full wall out to a natural break.

Can new siding go over my old siding?

We generally don't recommend it. Covering old siding hides any rot or water damage underneath and can trap moisture in the wall. Tearing off lets us inspect the sheathing, fix what's wrong, and install proper house wrap and flashing. It's more work up front, but you end up with a wall you know is sound.
