Painting · O'Fallon & St. Charles County
Paint jobs that start with repairs.
Paint only lasts as long as the surface under it. We fix the wood, patch the walls and prep properly, then paint with care inside and out.
Interior & Exterior Painting
Plenty of painters just paint. We repair, then paint. On exteriors around St. Charles County, that usually means soft window sills, rotted fascia and trim boards that have soaked up water through failed caulk. Painting over rot gives you a nice-looking house for a season. Replacing the bad wood first gives you a paint job that actually holds.
Missouri weather is tough on exterior paint. Humid summers, hard sun on south and west walls, and freeze-thaw winters all work at every gap and seam. We scrape, sand, caulk and prime where needed, and we schedule exterior work for dry stretches with the right temperatures. That patience is what keeps paint from peeling again in a couple of years.
Inside, we patch nail pops and cracks, repair damaged drywall, and protect your floors and furniture before we open a can. Walls, ceilings, trim, doors and cabinets each get the right product and method. Shane pays attention to the details that separate good work from passable work: straight cut lines, smooth trim and no paint where it doesn't belong.

From a real customer
“He is truly the old fashion worker your grandparents tell you about from back in the day.”
Read every reviewShane is the most professional contractor I have ever interacted with for a job. From the first time calling him to the time he left my property he was 100% sincere with everything he did. We requested to put on a new roof on a shed and fix a rotted floor. He recommended putting some extra TLC into the shed including siding and some other work. We didn't think it was possible due to the age of the shed. When he hit some roadblocks with extra issues dealing with the project, he kept his cool. He even worked in a non-shaded area, with a heat index over 110 degrees with no breaks. His employee had the same mentality and I could see his dedication as well. He was younger in age, but Shane educated him along the way. I could tell he was helping to shape the next generation of contractors. Shane was trying to put the love of the work back into the job rather than just completing the work. He told us the new problems we didn't know about and quickly addressed them. He didn't get upset by me asking questions and even gave detailed answers to my questions. If you want a person who shows the ability and love of his work, hire this company. I felt as if I hired a family member even though we never met before since he truly took ownership of his work. His prices are beyond reasonable and he doesn't charge for an extra screw or a random material other contractors charge customers. He is truly the old fashion worker your grandparents tell you about from back in the day. When I discussed future jobs with him he gladly said he would handle it. No job is too big or small for Shane. If someone would ask if I would hire him back, I would say 100%. He even warranties his work for years and you can't beat it.

FAQ
Interior & Exterior Painting:
common questions
Still wondering about something? Call or text Shane at (636) 306-0393.
When is the best time to paint the exterior?
In St. Charles County, late spring through early fall usually offers the best conditions. Paint needs dry surfaces and temperatures within the manufacturer's range, and it shouldn't go on right before rain or when heavy dew will settle on it overnight. We watch the forecast and adjust the schedule so each coat can cure properly.
Do you repair rotted wood before painting?
Yes, and it may be the most important part of an exterior paint job. Painting over soft or rotted wood traps moisture, and the paint fails fast. We replace damaged sills, trim, fascia and siding boards before painting. Shane will point out the bad spots during the estimate, so you know exactly what's included before work begins.
Do I need to move furniture before you paint inside?
We'll talk through it during the estimate so the plan is clear. Clearing small items, wall hangings and anything fragile ahead of time helps the job go faster. Larger furniture can usually be pulled to the center of the room and covered, and floors get protected before any painting starts. Nothing should catch you off guard on day one.
Can you help me choose colors?
We're happy to give an opinion. Shane can tell you how a color tends to read on siding in full afternoon sun compared with a small chip under store lights. Testing a few samples on your actual walls or siding is still the best way to decide. Sheen matters too, especially in kitchens, bathrooms and high-traffic hallways.
