New Home Construction · O'Fallon & St. Charles County
New homes with one person accountable.
We build new homes and outbuildings in St. Charles County and nearby, managing every stage so you aren't left chasing a dozen subcontractors.
New Home Construction
Building a house is a long chain of decisions, and each one depends on the last. Site prep affects the foundation. The foundation affects the framing. The framing affects every window, door and cabinet that comes after. When nobody owns the whole chain, small mistakes stack up. We manage a new build from the first stake in the ground to the final punch list.
A to Z has been building and fixing houses in this area since 1990, long enough to see what holds up in Missouri weather and what doesn't. Shane will talk through framing details, roofing, siding and drainage with freeze-thaw winters and clay soil in mind. Those choices never show up in a listing photo, but you'll notice them twenty years from now.
We build primary homes, homes on rural lots out toward Warrenton and Foristell, and accessory buildings like detached garages and workshops. You work directly with Shane, not a sales rep, and he trains his crew to the same standard he holds himself to. Permits, inspections and the licensed trades your build requires are coordinated as part of the job.

From a real customer
“He is truly the old fashion worker your grandparents tell you about from back in the day.”
Read every reviewShane is the most professional contractor I have ever interacted with for a job. From the first time calling him to the time he left my property he was 100% sincere with everything he did. We requested to put on a new roof on a shed and fix a rotted floor. He recommended putting some extra TLC into the shed including siding and some other work. We didn't think it was possible due to the age of the shed. When he hit some roadblocks with extra issues dealing with the project, he kept his cool. He even worked in a non-shaded area, with a heat index over 110 degrees with no breaks. His employee had the same mentality and I could see his dedication as well. He was younger in age, but Shane educated him along the way. I could tell he was helping to shape the next generation of contractors. Shane was trying to put the love of the work back into the job rather than just completing the work. He told us the new problems we didn't know about and quickly addressed them. He didn't get upset by me asking questions and even gave detailed answers to my questions. If you want a person who shows the ability and love of his work, hire this company. I felt as if I hired a family member even though we never met before since he truly took ownership of his work. His prices are beyond reasonable and he doesn't charge for an extra screw or a random material other contractors charge customers. He is truly the old fashion worker your grandparents tell you about from back in the day. When I discussed future jobs with him he gladly said he would handle it. No job is too big or small for Shane. If someone would ask if I would hire him back, I would say 100%. He even warranties his work for years and you can't beat it.

FAQ
New Home Construction:
common questions
Still wondering about something? Call or text Shane at (636) 306-0393.
Can you build on a lot I already own?
Yes. Building on your own lot, whether it's in a subdivision or out on a few acres, is a common way to start. We'll look at the site first, including drainage, access and utilities, because those shape the foundation and the overall plan. It's better to learn about a wet corner or a steep grade before design work gets far along.
Do you provide house plans?
We can build from plans you already have, or coordinate with a designer or engineer to develop them. Either way, Shane reviews the plans with a builder's eye before construction starts, looking for details that will cause trouble in the field. Catching those problems on paper costs far less than fixing them after the walls are framed.
How involved will I be during the build?
As involved as you want to be. You'll make selections for things like cabinets, flooring, fixtures and siding colors at set points, and we'll tell you ahead of time when each decision is due. Shane is on the job and quick to call back, so you're welcome to visit the site and ask questions whenever you like.
Can you build a detached garage or workshop?
Yes. Detached garages, workshops and larger outbuildings follow the same process on a smaller scale: site review, permits where required, foundation, framing, roofing and finish. Cities and HOAs in St. Charles County often have rules on size, height and setbacks for accessory buildings, so we check those before anything is designed or ordered.
